Paracord Dog Collars

I don't know where we first got the idea for our Paracord range of products, I think we had started making our fleece tug toys, platting and knotting happily away and my husband then went on from there, the idea evolving probably after seeing Bear Gylls hanging off a cliff edge and saving himself with his paracord bracelet and being impressed with the paracord (not Bear Grylls!)And so he started weaving with the paracord, learning the different knots and designs, what combinations work well, which colours sit well together and finding out in the meantime that the paracord does offer a strong, durable Paracord Dog Collar but also it’s flexible too.  Different weaves working better for different dogs, the narrower...

Paracord Dog Collars

I don't know where we first got the idea for our Cocoa and Luca's Handmade Dog Accessory range, I think we had started making our fleece tug toys, platting and knotting happily away and my husband then went on from there, the idea evolving probably after seeing Bear Gylls hanging off a cliff edge and saving himself with his paracord bracelet and being impressed with the paracord (not Bear Grylls!)And so he started weaving with the paracord, learning the different knots and designs, what combinations work well, which colours sit well together and finding out in the meantime that the paracord does offer a strong, durable dog collar but also it’s flexible too.  Different weaves working better for different dogs,...

Well Paracord is a shortened word for PARACHUTE CORD, and as the name suggests it is cord that is used in the manufacture of parachutes, so of course it is very strong. Dog Collars

It's very interesting doing the shows and being on our stand, in the quieter periods I get to partake in one of my favourite pastimes of people watching and trying but never succeeding in understanding the strange phenomenon that we call the human race. One of the things that seems to be the most common is the ongoing argument between men and women concerning the colour of their dog collar.  RED DINGO produce some very lovely DOG COLLARS, they are hard wearing, they are extremely easy to clip on and off, the sizes are very adjustable and they wash really well, I found this out after Luca had a lovely sheep poo rolling session.     This isn't what attracts people to...

Collars for Long Haired Dogs

You would think the choice of COLLAR for a DOG would be an easy thing, if it's the right size and the right colour, Bobs your Uncle, buy it!  Not so for Cocoa, as she is a SPANISH WATER DOG, her coat, unless trimmed is long, thick and prone to matting as she cannot be brushed.  In the past, all the DOG COLLARS we have used have just flattened her coat down around her neck, making it matted or worse, losing the fur on the part underneath the collar. Until we happened upon the RUFFWEAR KNOT-A-COLLAR, it is made of 7mm rope with sliding fisherman knots which are adjustable for a good fit, making it secure around the neck, but not too...
